  Took a bold initiative to venture into alloy wheel manufacturing in Taiwan to position ourselves as an Original Design Manufacturer of alloy wheels.

1999
  Ranked 4th in the Enterprise 50 Awards and was presented with the Grand Five-Year Award for being in the Enterprise 50 for 5 consecutive years since 1995.

2000
  Set up our second alloy wheel manufacturing plant in Shanghai, China and expanded our manufacturing capacity there gradually to 4 production lines.

2002
  We invested a 10% stake in Hangzhou Yokohama Tire Co Ltd, Yokohama’s first tyre manufacturing facility in the PRC.

2003
  Listed on the Mainboard of the Singapore Stock Exchange on 3 July 2003.

2004
  To meet the growing demand for chrome-finished alloy wheels globally, we set up our own chroming facility in Wuxi, China. At the same time, our Shanghai manufacturing plant was operating on near-full capacity with a total of 6 production lines in operation.

2005
 

To enhance our capability as an integrated Original Design Manufacturer of alloy wheels, we set up a factory to manufacture and supply alloy wheels mould for our manufacturing plants. On 1 November, Konig (American) became part of the YHI Group thus expanding our geographical presence into USA.

2006
 

To cater to the growing global demand for alloy wheels from our customers, our 2 new alloy wheels manufacturing plants located in Suzhou, China and Sepang, Malaysia commenced production.

In April, we entered into a joint venture with Yokohama to set up Yokohama Tire Sales (Shanghai) Co Ltd to distribute a wide range of Yokohama tyres in the PRC.

In May, we acquired a 35.51% shareholding in O.Z. S.p.A., a world-renowed alloy wheels manufacturer whose name is synonymous in the international racing circuits of Formula One and World Rally Championships.

We were also appointed by Enkei Corporation to manufacture under license "Enkei Tuning" brand of alloy wheels.

2007
  On 28 November 2007, our Group Managing Director, Mr Richard Tay, was presented with the 2007 Ernst & Young Manufacturing Entrepreneur of the Year Award. The award a recognition of his entrepreneurial spirit, ingenuity and perseverance that created and sustained a successful growing business venture. On receiving this award, Mr Richard Tay said : "This award is an affirmation of YHI's standing and influence in the global automotive arena."

2008
  In Feb 2008, YHI entered into a supply and sponsorship agreement with Formula One team Scuderia Toro Rosso and O.Z. S.p.A. to supply alloy wheels bearing the Group’s proprietary brand ADVANTI RACING.
